How far in advance should I book my proposal session?
I recommend booking 6-12 weeks in advance, especially for popular locations and weekend dates. This gives us time for a thorough planning consultation and allows flexibility if weather requires rescheduling. Popular proposal times (holidays, special dates) book up quickly.
What happens if it rains on our proposal day?
We can plan backup indoor locations, including beautiful covered areas and indoor spaces with great natural light. We can also reschedule if you prefer your original outdoor location.
How do you stay hidden during the proposal?
I arrive early to scout positioning and blend into the environment as a casual photographer or tourist. I use long lenses to maintain distance while capturing intimate moments. Your partner won't know I'm there until you're ready to reveal the surprise. I can stay hidden in a crowd or behind elements. Or if preferred, you can approach me like a stranger to take your picture on your phone.
Can family and friends be included in the proposal?
Absolutely! I'm experienced at coordinating surprise family appearances and group celebrations. We'll plan the timing so they can either witness the proposal from a distance, appear immediately afterward for celebration photos, or meet you at a second location.
What should we wear for proposal photos?
Dress as you normally would for a special date—you want to look like yourselves. Solid colors photograph beautifully, and layers give you options. I'll provide specific guidance based on your chosen location and season during our planning consultation.
How quickly can we get our photos?
Standard delivery is typically 3-6 weeks for your full edited gallery (see your package for specific details). Rush delivery options are available for immediate sharing needs—perfect for social media announcements or sharing with family. I can provide a few preview images within 24-48 hours.
Do you coordinate with videographers?
Yes! I work with trusted videographers and can coordinate seamless coverage for couples who want both photo and video documentation. We plan positioning to avoid interfering with each other while capturing every moment.
