Photographed Harvard Division of Continuing Education’s inaugural DCE Spring Conference, “Leadership in Turbulent Times,” hosted in partnership with the Harvard Extension Alumni Association. The hybrid event brought together DCE faculty, alumni, learners, and special guests for a full day of workshops, panels, and presentations.

Working across multiple rooms, we documented speakers, audience engagement, networking, and the atmosphere of the in-person experience while adapting quickly to changing indoor light and movement between sessions.

We also delivered a same-day preview gallery during the conference, giving DCE and the Harvard Extension Alumni Association an early selection for timely communication while preserving comprehensive coverage of the full-day event.

Documenting live dance performance requires split-second timing and deep understanding of movement. For Harvard's Asian American Dance Troupe spring showcase, we captured the full spectrum of their artistic expression, from traditional Asian dance forms to contemporary hip hop and jazz variations.

Working across multiple showings, we documented each of the 16-18 individually choreographed pieces, adapting to constantly changing lighting conditions and the unique energy of each performance style. Our approach focused on capturing both the technical precision of the choreography and the emotional connection between performers and audience.

The challenge with dance photography lies in anticipating peak moments. We position strategically to capture these decisive moments without disrupting the performance flow, delivering images that preserve both the artistry and atmosphere of each piece.
